Food Assistance — Wake County

Urban Ministries operates the second largest food pantry in Wake County. Our pantry provides a weeks’ worth of groceries for families in need and distributes more than 240 tons a year or 404,000 meals. Food insecurity is one of the biggest concerns for those facing poverty, especially during the summer months when children are home from school.

All clients must provide proof that they are residents of Wake County. Individuals eligible for the Open Door Clinic must provide proof of an income level of 185% of the Federal Poverty Guideline or below and have no health insurance, including Medicare or Medicaid.
