Supported Employment Team

Program Manager, Leigh Harrison

Leigh Harrison is the Program Manager for the Wake County Supported Employment Program which serves individuals who have intellectual/ developmental disabilities who want to work in their community. She also provides oversight for the Individual Placement & Support program, which provides similar services to people with mental illnesses/substance abuse disorders who are looking for competitively-paid jobs in their communities. She is passionate about providing quality services and ensuring individuals who want to work have those opportunities. Leigh is equally passionate about the members of the Supported Employment team who do their jobs with dedication and perseverance.

Leigh Harrison began working at Community Partnerships over 10 years ago as an Employment Specialist for the Supported Employment Program and as a Vocational Consultant with the Brain Injury Support Services program before becoming the Program Manager for the Supported Employment Program. Leigh currently sits on the NCAPSE Board (North Carolina Association for Persons in Supported Employment) as Vice President and Co-Conference Chair.

Leigh Harrison’s dedication to those who want to work and have barriers to those opportunities continues as a mainframe mission of Community Partnerships.
