Triangle Aphasia Project

TAP, or the Triangle Aphasia Project, Unlimited, began as an independent nonprofit organization in 2003 with the mission “to serve individuals with aphasia, their families and the community through innovative life participation approaches that maximizes communicative potential and reduces barriers to social reengagement.” 

With innovative therapy approaches, the program helps build bridges to assure return to social, vocational and recreational pursuits of the individual, while assuring adequate training and educational resources.

ReNu Life (Goldsboro)

ReNu Life provides several kinds of supports for survivors of Traumatic Brain Injuries. Funding sources determine which services the survivor may receive. All services are individually designed with the consumer's needs in mind. Services offered include residential services, rehabilitation, and mental health services.

North Carolina Brain Injury Association

The Brain Injury Association of NC was founded in 1982 by families and concerned professionals. The Association is an affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America. Today, the Association has Family and Community Support Centers in Asheville, Greenville, and Charlotte with our main office in Raleigh in the Cameron Village Shopping Center area. There is a volunteer resource center in High Point. BIANC supports over 40 local support groups across the state.

National Brain Injury Association

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is the country’s oldest and largest nationwide brain injury advocacy organization.  Its mission is to be the voice of brain injury. Through advocacy, education and research, we bring help, hope and healing to millions of individuals living with brain injury, their families and the professionals who serve them. 

EastPointe Local Management Entity (Goldsboro)

Eastpointe provides management of comprehensive community services for mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse to the citizens of Duplin, Lenoir, Sampson and Wayne counties.

Eastpointe provides funding for the Goldsboro Brain Injury Support Services program at Community Partnerships, Inc.

The North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services provides counseling, training, education, transportation, job placement, assistive technology and other support services. These services are provided to people with physical, psychiatric or intellectual disabilities to assist them with living independently and with finding a job and staying on the job.

The division (known to many simply as “VR”) has local field offices and facilities that serve every county in North Carolina. We also directly serve businesses and other organizations by referring to them individuals we have helped prepare for employment and who are well-matched for jobs with these organizations.

The North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation provides funding for the Brain Injury Support Services progarm at Community Partnerships, Inc.

North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities

The mission of the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities is to ensure that people with developmental disabilities and their families participate in the design of and have access to culturally competent services and supports, as well as other assistance and opportunities, which promote inclusive communities.

American Association of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The American Association of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities promotes progressive policies, sound research, effective practices, and universal human rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Triangle Down Syndrome Network

Triangle Down Syndrome Network (TDSN) exists to support and connect families of children with Down syndrome by organizing and promoting activities. TDSN is striving to make a presence in the community. We want to ensure all people with Down syndrome have happy and productive lives. Located in central North Carolina, serving families in Wake, Durham and Orange and surrounding counties.

Easter Seals UCP North Carolina

Easter Seals UCP serves a broad range of people with disabilities, such as people with cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, muscular dystrophy, stroke, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, hearing and visual impairments and mental health diagnoses.
